이 실험에서는 PTC종이의 독특한 맛을 느낄 수 있는 PTC 유전자를 증폭시켜 SNP(single nucleotide polymorphism)의 그 존재 유무를 확인합니다.학생들은 본인의 구강상피세포에서 DNA를 추출하여 PCR과 전기영동을 통해 PTC 유전자가 있는지 검사합니다.그리고 그 결과가 맞는지 PTC 용지의 맛을 봅니다.
