Even Sir Isaac Newton would have been a fan of the Fan Cart!

Put the sail in place, and the cart stays still. Remove the sail, and watch it go! This inexpensive tool is perfect for opening up a discussion of Newton's laws of motion, inertia, acceleration, and action-reaction. Fan carts have typically been offered with many more gadgets at much higher prices, but for under $30, this makes it affordable for any classroom.
We even include a clip that allows you to vary between one and two batteries, and measure the differences in acceleration with different magnitudes of net force.
Cart without sail 5.5 inch (140mm) x 2.75 inch (70mm) x 5.25 inch (130mm). Sail 4.25 inch (110mm) x 4.25 inch.
Replacement fan included. Requires two AA batteries, not included.

"This Fan Cart gave me a way to produce near constant acceleration without the use of gravity.
I liked the fact I could demonstrate Newton's 2nd Law by varying forces produced by the fan with different masses.
It was a good way to show that acceleration is proportional to the net force over the mass."
